Top Donors to the Arts

Oregon’s top donors: Stellar support for the arts.

Who are Oregon’s top donors to the arts? Each year, Business for Culture & the Arts provides this annual benchmark for business giving to help assess our efforts to stimulate support for art the arts in our state. We’ve done the research; now meet the companies that are making a difference.

Top Business Donors to the Arts

Since 2000, Business for Culture and the Arts (BCA) has collected and compiled data about business contributions to arts and cultural organizations in metropolitan Portland. In 2009, BCA expanded its research to include state-wide business giving to the arts. BCA also collects data about in-kind support provided by businesses and whether businesses participate in Work for Art, an innovative workplace giving program.

The results of this research are compiled in the Top Business Donors to the Arts list, which ranks companies in order of their cash contributions to nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. The Top Business Donors to the Arts list is published annually in The Portland Business Journal’s Focus on Philanthropy issue.

The data BCA collects provides an annual benchmark for business giving the the arts. It helps BCA members assess how well BCA is doing in its efforts to stimulate increased public and private support of arts in Oregon.

BCA is pleased to honor the Top Business Donors to the Arts at its Arts Breakfast of Champions, an event that combines recognition and live performances in a celebration of businesses and business leaders who have shown extraordinary commitment to the arts in our community.

If you have questions about BCA’s business giving to the arts research, please contact Keith Daly, Membership and Marketing Manager at keith@businessculturearts.org.
