BCA Art of Leadership: Training for tomorrow
To promote dynamic leadership in the arts community, BCA works with business professionals to cultivate the skills and knowledge needed to be effective board members. The six-session Art of Leadership program – designed for first-time board members — includes expert speakers, educational sessions with local arts and business leaders, and a look at the challenges faced by arts organizations. Participants also gain a better understanding of how arts boards function by attending and observing board meetings if they wish.
The program gives business professionals the opportunity to apply their expertise to make a real impact on Oregon’s art community. Participants also gain valuable leadership skills, the chance to network with other professionals, and a deeper understanding and appreciation for the arts.

To achieve this goal we are offering partial scholarships to those who fit that description.
To apply for a scholarship, applicants must also submit a statement of need along with their application. Please submit scholarship applications by August 31.
